This post I think it has something to do with the fact that green is my favorite color. Nevertheless, you have to admit that green is a nice, fresh color. Green is usually associated with nature, ecology and it’s considered one of the additive primary colors.
As a web designer, it might come in handy to know what this color represents in different cultures. For example, in some cultures, green symbolizes growth and hope, but, on the other hand, in others it’s the color associated with death, sickness or envy. But as I stated above, green is most commonly associated with nature, regeneration and fertility.
I bet you noticed that some political groups make use of this color in their campaigns, calling themselves part of the Green movement – Green parties. In the same note, you’ve probably seen campaigns in advertising for environmentally friendly products. This, again, has a lot to do with the way most of the people perceive this color.
In web design, most of these principle also apply. Green is thought to be one of the best colors for web designing because it’s refreshing and it makes you think of nature – and everybody loves nature (green grass, trees, plants and so on).
Today I thought I’d celebrate the beautiful nature coming to life – the trees, the grass and all the plants turning green – by compiling this beautiful list of website designs which include this cool color – GREEN. Enjoy!
